How I became a Pivotal Spring Professional Certified 5.0

Today I have just taken the Pivotal Spring Professional Certification exam. I’ve passed with 76%. Yes, in the exactly passing score! yeah!

This post I will share my path to achieve this certification.

First of all, if you’re like me and have experience with Java EE platform, the exam won’t be a problem. However, if you’re a beginner in java/spring platform, I highly recommend you dedicated some time studying basic courses at Udemy or any kind of education site before taken the certification.

Similar to Oracle certifications, Spring certifications are also multiple choice questions where you need to answer 76% of questions correctly to pass the exam i.e. 38 questions out of 50.

This book has been updated for each version of Spring, and it is updated for spring 5.0 version.

This book is main focus at the Exam, but it was not updated to the 5.0 version. However, there are many resources that still useful for the newer version.

I’ve purchased the itestjava.com. There are 5 dump tests with 250 questions total. A good exercise before the test.
